Painter. Received rudimentary instruction in drawing as a young boy. Produced his first known painting at 16 years old -1908. Drew a small painting extolling U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt at the Centre d’Art. Honored at City College by his African American congeners – early 1980s. On that day, Mrs Rosalind Jeffries, of the Museum of Modern Art, talked about him with meritorious and lofty terms. Worked actively on his art for 75 years. Works are sometimes available at galleries in Port-au-Prince, Santo Domingo, Sotheby’s in New York, and elsewhere throughout the world, including the Internet. Prices typically range from $40,000 to $100,000 and more.
